Click Here >> for PressKit Armed with a pocket full of trademark stickers, Wes Smith is an established deejay & music producer currently working in the New York City dance club, lounge & bar scene. He is the force behind ATribeCalledWes, Juice Recordings & Sticky Bumps Music which release original worx, mixes & mashups from his numerous alias monikers, long time collaborators and friends in the bizness. While in Manhattan he has held residencies at Bar XII, Katra, Leopard Lounge, Mercury Bar, Sin Sin, and played numerous one offs at the legendary Sullivan Room, Rebel NYC and other venues. From House & Breaks to Funk, Hip-Hop or Drum & Bass, he's the party people's DJ, Playin What's Breakin. Stacking up over 1500 hours behind the decks in New York City, domestic & international venues, Wes has been sought out to keep the party rockin for high profile events at notable underground clubs as well as organizations including Hearst Magazines, NY Giants players, Cast Members from Shrek, Seventeen Magazine Models, and numerous other promotions and celebrations. He has also had a much publicized and fun detour as an Official DJ of the Lingerie Footbal League during the inaugural 2009/2010 season which was also featured on an episode of the popular crime show CSI:NY. Prior to moving to New York City, Wes became a respected Deejay, Producer and long time supporter of the internationally renowned Washington, DC club scene. In DC he pushed musical boundaries at top venues while the underground Rave & Electronic Dance Music (EDM) circuit peaked across the United States. During this time he played @ Ministry of Sound [UK], Pasha [India], Buzz [DC], and 50 or so other venues with 100's of top circuit DJ's & Acts, many of which are household names today. Leading up to and during his DC tour of duty, Wes co-founded the Juice Recordings record label which specializes in B-Boy & Hip Hop influenced Breakbeat dance music and has featured many of the genre's top talent. To date the label has comercially released more than 60 singles & 5 albums. The Juice Recordings catalog has been routinely licensed for compilations as well as more than 15 times to MTV. The label continues to actively release original material, remixes, various promotional mixes & mashups.
